AAPi in the Media

Posted on 31 January 2022

We have achieved another incredible month of advocacy through the media. Some of our standout articles include:

  • The Australian- ‘Two-tier rebates ‘psychologically damaging’, AAPi discussed the damage the two-tier system has caused to clients and psychologists.
  • The Courier Mail- challenging the two-tier system.
  • Mamamia- commenting on COVID-19 anxiety.
  • Kiddipedia- helping parents to access a psychologist. This article also included a link to our find a psychologist search linking thousands of parents to AAPi members. Now is the perfect time to ensure your profile in up to date. Find the guide to setting up your profile here.
  • The Daily Telegraph- asking for an election pledge from all the major parties to replace the two-tier system.
  • The Guardian- advocating for increased funding for rural mental health.
  • The Sydney Morning Herald discussing life coaches.
  • The Australian Pharmacist providing mental health advice to our pharmacist colleagues.

In December AAPi was featured in 26 different media pieces including on ABC News, radio, print and online in The Australian, The Canberra Times, The Courier Mail and the Herald Sun. We were able to reach over 2.1 million people reinforcing AAPi's key advocacy areas and championing the important role of psychologists and mental health.
