Biography:
Joon is a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working across public, private, and forensic settings. He takes a warm, collaborative, and evidence-based approach, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Joon has particular expertise in chronic pain psychology and currently serves as a Senior Psychologist at one of Australia’s largest pain management providers, where he holds both clinical and leadership responsibilities. He has worked with children, adults, and older adults from diverse backgrounds, supporting them in managing a wide range of emotional, psychological, and physical health concerns.
In addition to his clinical work, Joon is a Board-Approved Supervisor with extensive experience mentoring and supervising psychologists across all stages of their careers. He is known for his strong interpersonal skills, clear communication, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Joon is passionate about helping clients improve their wellbeing through practical, tailored strategies, and creating a respectful and supportive environment where meaningful change can occur.
