Biography:
Dr Angela Zagoren is a registered psychologist with over 20 years’ experience working across mental health, education and leadership settings. She holds a PhD in Psychology and is known for her calm, compassionate and thoughtful approach, founded upon a deep respect for human dignity, ethical practice and professional care. Dr Zagoren has supported adolescents, parents, and adults through a wide range of emotional, psychological, and health related challenges. She has a particular interest in adolescent mental health and the complex emotional, social, and developmental experiences of young people and their families. Her other passion area is supporting individuals managing chronic disease and illness through lifestyle and adjustment support. Her clinical work draws from evidence based and integrative approaches, including:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) Therapy
Positive Psychology
Supporting parents is a central part of Angela’s therapeutic work. She is an accredited Triple P – Positive Parenting facilitator (Level 4 & 5 Enhanced Triple P) and works alongside parents to strengthen confidence, communication, and effective responses to emotional and behavioural challenges within the family system.
