Biography:

I work with young people, adults and couples. Telehealth & in person available

I have a special interest in working to support individuals (from 12 years of age) and couples focus on building better relationships.

Our patterns of relating impact every domain of our lives, our workplaces, friendships, parenting, even how we feel about ourselves. While I draw from various therapeutic approaches what you will experience is someone who is relatable and understanding.

I am a Gottman informed couples therapist having completed Level 1 and 2 Gottman Method Couples therapy training, including working with infidelity. More information on the method can be found here - https://www.gottman.com/about/the-gottman-method/

People who have worked with me would describe me as genuine, warm and professional.

My experience - I have over 20 years’ experience providing counselling and support to people with a range of presenting mental health concerns.
- Extensive experience in supporting people in returning to work after a significant mental health concern and workplace stress management.
- I work well and enjoy working with people at times of great change and confusion in their lives (transition to parenting, change of jobs / careers, gender identity)

In additional to my experience in working with individuals, I have developed and delivered group therapy and training. I am a board approved supervisor and have experience in the provision of individual and group peer consultation and mentoring for mental health professionals.

I came to psychology through an interest in supporting people with disabilities as such I have experience and interest in supporting people with both mental health concerns and other disabilities.

While I completed my registration as a psychologist in 2004, I commenced a Master of Clinical Psychology in 2018 .. so I appreciate the challenges of balancing working, study and family life first hand.
