Biography:
I am a Psychologist and accredited Yoga Practitioner passionate about supporting people to move toward well-being and a genuine connection to their lives. Appointments are currently offered via Telehealth and In-person.
I work with individuals experiencing a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, grief/loss and life transitions, with a particular interest in working with addiction issues and the specific effects of trauma.
My approach is person-centred, evidence-based, collaborative and I work creatively with individuals exploring opportunities to build awareness, improve self-worth and connect in meaningful ways. Further, understanding what is happening for the person is informed by considering the role of attachment, biology and environment in shaping long-standing beliefs and behaviour.
I utilise a number of different therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other mindfulness-based interventions. Beyond formal education and training, my work as a therapist is informed by interest in working with the mind and body, as well as my own practice in yoga and meditation.
