Biography:
I am a Psychologist and trained yoga practitioner passionate about supporting people to move toward well-being and a genuine connection to their lives. Appointments are currently offered in-person and via Telehealth.
I work with adults experiencing a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, grief/loss and life transitions, with a particular interest in working with addiction issues and the specific effects of trauma.
My approach is person-centred, evidence-based, collaborative and I work creatively with individuals exploring opportunities to build awareness, improve self-worth and connect in meaningful ways. Further, understanding what is happening for the person is informed by considering the role of attachment, biology and environment in shaping long-standing beliefs and behaviour.
I utilise a number of different therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Beyond formal education and training, my work as a therapist is informed by interest in working with the mind and body, as well as my own practice in yoga and meditation.
