Biography:
Wendy is a humanistic, person-centred Psychologist who works within a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework, tailoring her approach to each client. She aims to create a safe, non-judgmental space for exploring clients’ concerns and works collaboratively with clients towards their therapeutic goals. Wendy has experience working with adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds in a variety of sectors including community health, private practice, university and secondary school settings.
Wendy’s therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices including Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Wendy works with adults of all ages and adolescents (16+ years) on a range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, trauma, emotion dysregulation, carers’ issues, life transitions, relationship issues, work related issues, identity issues, adjustment issues, low self-esteem, and sleep difficulties.
Wendy is a registered Pschologist and holds a Master of Counselling Psychology, Honours Degree of Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Behavioural Science.
