Biography:
Jodie is a Health Psychologist, Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and Fellow of the APS College of Health Psychologists. Jodie hold registration as a Board Approved supervisor.
Jodie is passionate about health and wellbeing. Jodie enjoys working with children to help them achieve their goals, and has a particular interest in Autism, and is an Autism SA accredited diagnostician. Jodie has a breadth of experience including working in private practice as well as in various healthcare settings, including hospitals and oncology units. Jodie is known for her warm and friendly approach to working with her clients and their families.
Jodie is a parent of a teen and a ‘tween’ and has an appreciation of the many transitions kids, parents, and families experience. She is able to support clients to develop emotional regulation and social skills. She also helps those experiencing study stress, depression and anxiety, and grief and loss. Jodie also enjoys working with people who want to change certain behaviours or need help adjusting to physical health changes – this may include illness, injury, chronic pain, and chronic or ongoing health issues.
Jodie has previously completed a PhD on psychoneuroimmunology and the relationships between mind-body and interventions to support mental and physical health. Consequently, she takes a holistic approach when supporting her clients.
